Newfound Genomics is currently gathering DNA samples from donor volunteers across Newfoundland and Labrador. It takes a very small time commitment to become a donor volunteer, and your genetic information could lead to the development of a diagnostic test or other medical advance that may benefit you - or your family members.
Participating in a Newfound Genomics study is easy. If you have a disease or condition
relevant to our research, simply call one of our offices for more information. In
St. John's call 753-3900 and in Western Newfoundland call 646-3475. All other areas call toll free 1-866-753-3900. We will then arrange a brief meeting with one of our clinical nurses. During this meeting, donor volunteers are asked to complete a questionnaire, have a brief physical examination and provide a blood or tissue sample. And that's it - the entire meeting should take no more than 1 hour.
Where appropriate, a travel allowance is offered to donor volunteers. Newfound Genomics guarantees the privacy of all donor volunteers.
